Mar 24, 2010 BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Patricia La Brosse to the Region Four Human Services District Board. The Region Four Human Services District Board serves to operate and manage community-based programs and services relative to public health, mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse services for the parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, and Vermilion. According to statute, the board is comprised of ten gubernatorial appointments, subject to Senate confirmation. Seven members shall be appointed from the parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, and Vermilion. The remaining three appointees shall have one member with experience in the financial operation of a business enterprise, one member who is a parent, consumer, or caregiver of a consumer of services, and one member who represents one of the following fields: addictive disorders, developmental disabilities, mental health, or public health. Patricia La Brosse, of Lafayette, is an independent consultant and a contract instructor in the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions Continuing Education Department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. La Brosse will serve as a member who is a parent, consumer, or caregiver of a consumer of services, as required by statute. ### |
